Realizing the need for an organized body, the Gem & Jewellery Trade Council of India was founded in the year 2000 with the following identified principal objectives:

  • Guidance and Assistance to members in bringing professionalism.
  • Conducting Events / Exhibitions / Seminars / Trade Delegations.
  • Participating in various foreign exhibitions by visiting them.
  • Disseminating of useful information.
  • Liaisoning with Government and other professional & trade bodies within the country and internationally.
  • Identifying the need for trade promotional activities.
  • Sourcing Design, Technology and Machinery.
  • Conducting workshops for craftsmen and impart training in jewellery designing and manufacturing.
  • Organising Training sessions for members and their staff on Management subjects like Marketing Management, Self Development, Leadership, Communication skills etc.
  • Arranging competition and awarding prizes.
