Overview

Jewellery manufacturing has journeyed through time and has emerged from its cocoon of tradition to become a booming industry in india. What was thought out to be a family trade with home-owned skills has now metamorphosed into an industry that caters to the need of diverse fashion trends across the globe.

With globalization arriving in every field of work, the jewellery industry has to come together to stand in this competitive world. The efforts should be united to lead the industry to the new heights, to tell the world about the arrival of intricate, exquisite and royal Indian jewellery.


A step on this path is the formation of GJTCI realizing the need for an organised and united body with following identified objectives.

  • Sourcing-design, technology and machinery.
  • Guidance and assistance to members in bringing professionalism.
  • Conducting events/exhibitions/seminars.
  • Disseminating of information

COURSE LINE (Duration- 6 Months)

We have developed various stages in jewellery designing.

LINE DRAWING

This stage includes various kinds of lines like horizontal, vertical, zigzag, mountain pattern. This helps getting control over the hand.

SHAPE STAGE

Practice of a shape card compiling almost all basic shapes to develop the designing skill.

3-D DESIGNING

Giving 3-D effects to rings and Bengals makes the designs so effective that it starts speaking about itself.

GOLD

It includes different types of work in gold like rawa work, veni work, filigree work etc. the combination of all these work will be used in making the design. Starting from developing small designs of pendants and earrings, the students will end up making the whole set in gold.

Jadtar

This is an age old method of making jewellery. It includes the basic work, particular shapes and tikda.

Diamond

It includes the understanding of the basic different settings and shapes.

Field Trips

To ensure that our students get maximum exposure about the jewellery market, we give them fieldtrips. Also we invite the leaders in this industry to share their experience by arranging their lectures on various topics.

PROJECT WORK

To assess the students knowledge of designing project work will be given that would include all aspects they have been taught here.

After the successful completion of project, student will be awarded with GJTCI Jewellery Designer certificate that would help them making a mark in jewellery industry.

OVERVIEW OF DIAMOND GRADING

Whether your goal is to be a buyer, a bench jeweler, a sales professional, a store owner or an appraiser it is necessary to judge and grade clarity, color and cut quality factors of round brilliant diamonds. It is also essential to see and examine a diverse sampling of the most common diamond features you will encounter in your career. GJTCI has Diamond Grading Course to make you proficient in diamond grading systems to achieve your goals.
